NO  NEUTRAL  GROUND

DOCUMENTARY

#living beyond Sunday

LIVING BEYOND SUNDAY is presenting a provocative documentary called "NO NEUTRAL GROUND', that tells the story of the global movement of God that is currently happening among every tribe, nation and tongue.  We seek out the stories of real life transformation as people encounter the risen Christ in their culture.  It's raw, it's irreligious and it's life changing as we see Jesus interupting culture, religion and ethnicity to redeem a lost and broken world, ironically most of this happens outside of Sundays!

We want the global church to check its spiritual pulse and be agile enough to reset their course to avoid the 'tragedy of almost!'  What if, as the body of Christ we 'almost' followed Jesus?  What if, we as the body of Christ 'almost' obeyed Jesus' commands to love God, love People and make reroducing disciples?  What if, we as the church 'almost' loved the least, the last and the lost enough to tell them the story of Jesus?  What if we as disciples 'almost' put everything on the line for the cause of Christ?

'Almost' is a tragedy when you observe all the

things that Christ commanded!

Today we are observing perhaps the largest shift toward a secular, post christian culture ever seen.  How is the church preparing to once again be persecuted, despised and made redundant in our culture?  Who is preparing for this shift? Jesus said in Matthew 12 "This is war, there is no neutral ground" - are we ready for the battle?

We have shifted much of our attention as the church to issues of justice but are we seeing a secularising of our holy intent? Are we seeing Justice without Jesus? Does the original blueprint of the gospels and the later Epistles hold the key to the future of the church? The simple, high risk, low security endeavour of a bunch of unlearned men and woman - who with a largely oral message seemed to ‘turn the world upside down’

Have our cathedrals of grandness illustrated to the world a ‘factory mentality’ where people are put onto the conveyor belt of modern christianity only to find that the shiny facade seems to tarnish quickly once the reality of Monday comes? Are we seeing any trends both in decline and in the advancement of the Kingdom of God on a global scale? What are the generations saying? Where are they going? What is their ‘great life objective? What can we learn from the persecuted church? Why don't we take the same risks as our brethren in other parts of the world?  Why do we feel so comfortable in our entitlement to 'safe' christianity?

What does it mean, for us today, to wrestle fervently with the idea of ‘living beyond Sunday?’  Are we as willing to grapple with the realities of a declining Judeo Christian world view, as we are in grappling with social, racial and economic issues?  These are the stories that we pray you will help us to tell!
